Why does my server show a small amount of CPU usage when turned off?

Your server might show a small amount of CPU and RAM usage when in a stopped state. This is perfectly normal.

Even though the game instance (Minecraft, Valheim, Factorio, Rust, etc) is turned off, your server is still running small tasks such as checking for updates, scheduled tasks and backups in the background.
